A collage of various scenes featuring a red-haired woman in a cowboy hat and glasses. She is shown as a paramedic attending to a patient, riding a horse, caring for a cat, performing Reiki, and performing pet healing. The scene has a mystical, magical atmosphere with glowing effects. There are labels for different roles like 'Paramedic,' 'Death Doula,' 'MedBed Doula,' 'Reiki Master,' and 'Pet Healer,' along with a 'LUMINOSA' logo.

Why Wound-er-ology™ Exists

Like many practitioners, my path into healing was not linear.

My early life was marked by significant physical and emotional adversity. For many years, I lived with chronic pain, repeated injuries, and profound nervous system stress. In my twenties, multiple injuries and Auto Immune compounded an already overloaded system, leading to cycles of treatment dependency and ongoing discomfort. Relief was often temporary, expensive, and incomplete.

For a long time, I was told—by well-intentioned professionals—that pain and limitation would simply be part of my life.

They were wrong.

In my forties, after years of study, exploration, and deep inner work, something shifted. I experienced my first sustained sense of clarity, agency, and possibility. What followed was not a sudden miracle, but a gradual, regulated reconnection of parts of myself that had been shut down for decades.

That process became the foundation of Wound-er-ology™.

A Method Rooted in Experience, Not Theory

Through years of clinical work and personal integration, I began to observe patterns that traditional approaches often missed:

  • Trauma stored beyond conscious memory

  • Pain maintained by protective nervous system responses

  • Healing blocked by pacing that was too fast or invasive

Over time, my body developed a refined sensitivity to subtle physiological and energetic cues. With careful training and experience, this sensitivity became a reliable clinical tool—allowing me to read shifts in the body’s state and respond appropriately, without force or intrusion.

My work today is informed by:

  • Direct nervous system observation

  • Somatic and energetic integration

  • Respect for dissociation and protective mechanisms

  • Slow, intentional pacing

  • Deep consent and safety

My Philosophy of Healing

I hold a strong conviction that change is possible, even when circumstances feel fixed or overwhelming.

I do not believe healing requires reliving trauma, pushing through pain, or overriding the body’s intelligence. I believe the body knows how to heal—when it feels safe enough to do so.

My role is not to “fix” clients, but to:

  • Create the conditions for regulation

  • Support the body’s natural repair processes

  • Walk alongside individuals and animals with respect and steadiness

This work is equally applicable to humans and animals, across all ages and stages of life—including end-of-life care.

A Grounded Invitation

Today, I live with clarity, stability, and freedom from the chronic pain and stress I once believed were permanent. That lived transformation informs every session I offer.
